Dr. Teixeira is an orthopedic manual physical therapist who has been practicing for over 30 years. He received his Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of New England in 1993. He went on to pursue advanced training and received a Clinical Master's degree in Orthopedic Manual Therapy with the Ola Grimsby Institute in 1997, and a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree through the University of Montana in 2012. Dr. Teixeira has been published in the Journal of Orthopedic & Sports Physical Therapy and is an APTA Board Certified Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy. He is certified in Dry Needling as well as a certified Ergonomic Assessment Specialist. Shan has taught seminars on arthritis and treatment of back conditions and served as a faculty member at the Central Maine School of Massage where he taught Anatomy & Kinesiology. With advanced skills, individualized care and a comprehensive approach, Dr. Teixeira is able to successfully rehab patients with difficult or recurring musculoskeletal conditions, which have not responded to other treatment methods.
